The new class teacher

Stefan entered the 11th grade shortly before his 16th birthday. He was a student at a renowned boys' high school, which was characterized by a very conservative spirit. There were many older teachers, and the educational methods were also quite old-fashioned. Entering the senior high school seemed to him to be a significant step on the way to becoming an adult. On the first day of school after the summer vacation, he even went to school in the morning with a certain pride. He didn't usually care too much about school, but he was definitely one of the better students, so he didn't have a bad reputation with either the teachers or his classmates.

As always, the seating arrangement was an important topic at the beginning of the school year. Finally, Andreas Eckenberg, his best friend, sat to his left, and Sabine Haustein, the only girl in the class, sat to his right. While he was still speculating with Sabine about whether they would get Mr. Leyendecker as a class teacher again, the classroom door opened and a one-eighty tall, voluptuous blonde of an estimated thirty years came clattering in on high heels. It probably would have been worth taking pictures of the students' faces at that moment. A woman? Up to this point, Stefan could only imagine women as elementary school teachers, but in the upper school of a boys' high school? Completely out of the question! If it had been at least an old young Latin teacher, but such a young and attractive woman?

Her pedagogical attitude might fit the school's conservative image, but her blouse was tight, her blue skirt short, and her heels high enough to give quite a few of the 15-, 16-year-old boys a slightly misty, glazed look. She introduced herself as Mrs. Dietrich and took no further notice of the shocked state of the adolescent students. She used the silence to announce the timetable and who would be teaching which subject, as was customary on the first day of classes. The next shock came when it was announced that Ms. Dietrich would teach the class not only English, but also physical education. In addition, German as well as math and chemistry were each to be taught by a female teacher. What was going on with the school? Had the principal gone crazy?

This was followed by the election of the class representative, in which Ulf Zimmermann was elected, as in the previous year, and finally Mrs. Dietrich gave a short speech that was hardly conducive to calming the boys down again. She did express that she would be happy to lead the class. But she also made remarks about the fact that the boys present were at a critical age for boys and needed a firm hand, which she intended to give them. Of course, after the lesson, the new class teacher was discussed at length before everyone went home rather exhilarated.

Stefan's fourteen-year-old sister Bettina had brought along her friend Vanessa, with whom she attended a girls' high school near his school. They were also talking animatedly about their new seating arrangements and their new class teacher. At lunch, Stefan's mom asked if they had gotten Mr. Leyendecker again.
